The provocative multimedia installation “The Sea at 5am” is the latest exhibit at Flying Goat Cellars Tasting Room. It’s a collaboration between friends, Angela Valente, a Santa Barbara artist, and Bonnie Becraft, a poet in Portland, Oregon. Angela notes, “This exhibition, ‘The Sea at 5am’, is meant to be a metaphorical journey, a prompt for the viewer to remember a walk on the beach, a sunrise that awed, a moment of sea and sand, or a friendship that comforted or inspired.” Join winemaker Norm Yost and Kate Griffith in a celebration of Angela and the end of Harvest 2014!
The event is part of Flying Goat Cellars “Wine & Culture in the Ghetto” series. Complimentary food and beverage will be available at the reception, as well as a tasting flight of 1 Pinot Gris and 4 Pinot Noirs for $10/person or alternatively, 4 expressions of Goat Bubbles sparkling wine for $15/person. Flying Goat Cellars has been handcrafting vineyard designated Pinot Noir since 2000 and sparkling wine since 2005.
